About A&B Motors

A&B Motors has been recycling vehicles in Amite, Louisiana since 1958. Three generations later we're still on the same ten acres of Highway 51, doing the same thing: taking good parts off vehicles that have reached the end of the road, and getting them onto vehicles that haven't.

What we actually do

We buy cars and trucks — wrecked, flooded, high-mileage, or just done. Everything usable comes off them: engines, transmissions, doors, wheels, seats, alternators, control modules, glass. Each part is inspected, cleaned up, given a stock number, photographed on our own racks, and shelved until somebody needs it. What's left gets recycled as scrap steel. Almost nothing gets buried.

That's the whole business, and it's why a used OEM part beats a new aftermarket one on both price and fit. It's the part your vehicle was built with — the same casting, the same connector, the same bolt pattern — for up to half the money.

The guarantee

Every part we sell carries a 90-day money-back warranty. If it doesn't fit, doesn't work, or isn't what you expected, call us at 985-748-7195 and we'll refund it or replace it. No restocking games, no runaround. We've been here 68 years by not making that complicated.

Shipping and local delivery

Most parts ship free anywhere in the lower 48, usually the same or next business day. Engines, transmissions, axles, and K-frames ship by freight at a flat $299.99; transfer cases and differential carriers at $199.99. Freight has to go to a commercial address with a forklift — the freight page explains why and what your options are.

We don't ship body panels or glass at any price. Doors, hoods, fenders, bumpers, tailgates, pickup boxes, and glass are pickup at the yard or free local delivery only. They arrive damaged too often to ship responsibly.

If you're local to Amite, Hammond, Independence, Kentwood, or anywhere in Tangipahoa Parish, delivery is free. We'll bring it to your shop or your driveway.

We're at 59174 Hwy 51, Amite, Louisiana 70422 — about forty-five minutes east of Baton Rouge, an hour north of New Orleans. Open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central. Walk-ins welcome; call ahead and we'll have your part pulled and waiting at the counter.
