Shipping Policy

Processing time

Orders are pulled and packed within 1–2 business days, Monday through Friday. Orders placed on a weekend or holiday are processed the next business day. Freight shipments need an additional day or two to crate and stage.

Free standard shipping

Most parts ship free within the contiguous United States. Typical transit is 2–5 business days after the part leaves our yard in Amite, Louisiana, depending on destination and carrier. Expedited UPS service is available at checkout at the carrier's calculated rate.

Freight items — flat rate, commercial address required

Parts too heavy for a parcel carrier ship by LTL freight at a flat rate shown at checkout:

$299.99 — engines, transmissions and transaxles, axle assemblies, K-frames
$199.99 — transfer cases and differential carriers

Freight shipments must be delivered to a business or commercial address with a loading dock or forklift. We cannot deliver freight to a residential address. A freight driver's responsibility ends at the back of the trailer and they are not equipped to unload heavy items without a dock or forklift.

Alternatives available at no extra cost: delivery to your repair shop, pickup at the freight terminal nearest you, or pickup at our yard. If a freight order is placed to a residential address we will contact you before shipping to arrange a workable option. If no workable address can be arranged, we will cancel and refund in full.

Freight transit is typically 3–7 business days after pickup. The carrier contacts the consignee to schedule an appointment.

Body parts and glass — not shipped

A&B Motors does not ship body panels or automotive glass. This includes doors, hoods, fenders, quarter panels, bumpers, tailgates and decklids, pickup boxes, running boards, and all glass. These items are available for local pickup at our yard or free local delivery within our service area only.

Free local delivery

Free local delivery is available in Amite and the surrounding area, including Tangipahoa Parish. Local delivery covers all items, including body parts and glass. Contact us to arrange delivery.

Local pickup

Free pickup at 59174 Hwy 51, Amite, Louisiana 70422, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Central. Orders are typically ready within one business day. Please bring your order number.

Tracking

A tracking number is emailed when your shipping label is created. Freight shipments are assigned a pro number.

Damage in transit

For parcel shipments, retain all packaging and contact us. For freight shipments, inspect the shipment before signing the delivery receipt and note any damage on the receipt — once a clean receipt is signed, the carrier's liability ends. Contact us the same day at 985-748-7195 and we will file the carrier claim. Your 90-day money-back warranty covers the part regardless.
